The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Division of Research and Innovation) has responsibility for research strategic planning, managing research partnerships, prioritising University investment in strategic initiatives, and responding to changes in the external environment.

The Adelaide Graduate Centre, a portfolio within the division, manages the administration of research student degrees, scholarships, and quality assurance activities, ensuring students have the highest quality supervision and opportunities for professional development.

This role is responsible for the assessment of admission and scholarship applications for postgraduate research programs including the communication of relevant decisions and associated requirements to applicants as well as internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities also include contribution to development and review of policies, rules and processes as well as the efficiency of the University’s postgraduate research application system(s) and associated databases.

Salary: (HEO6) $75,316 - $81,548 per annum.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% applies.

Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately.

Position requirements

To be successful you should have:

  • Demonstrated high level organisational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage and complete diverse tasks within a pressured environment
  • Proven interpersonal and negotiating skills to work constructively as part of a team and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability in the effective use of Microsoft suite of software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Access).
