The Division of Academic and Student Engagement drives the achievement of the University's strategic goals in relation to learning and teaching. This includes ensuring that students have a quality experience and investing in the ongoing professional development of academic staff.
The Division is comprised of five key portfolio areas led by: the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Learning); Pro Vice-Chancellor (International); Dean, Indigenous Research and Education Strategy; University Librarian and the Executive Director, Division of Academic and Student Engagement.
The Executive Director, Division of Academic and Student Engagement portfolio area is responsible for overall strategic management of the division. It provides leadership and direction to functional areas such as Student Administration, Children’s University, Student Recruitment and Admissions and Professional and Continuing Education.
The Student Services Officer provides customer service at Ask Adelaide. The fixed-term part-time positions are family friendly and provide service during the peak middle of day periods. Working under general direction the position provides services to students, staff and visitors as the first point of contact in open contemporary working environments. Through a ‘one stop, one step’ approach to service, the Student Services Officer provides information and advice; troubleshoots, advises on technology, assists students and works towards enhancing the student experience at the University.

Salary: (HEO4) $59,735-$65,704 per annum (full time salary)
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies
Term of position: This fixed-term part-time position is available immediately until 21 December 2018
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 2.15pm
Continuing Full-Time Positions - Job Ref # 497989
Salary: (HEO4) $59,735-$65,704 per annum
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply
Term of position: ongoing, full-time, available immediately
To be successful you must have:
- Demonstrated experience and commitment in delivering customer centred service in a shared service model
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and adopt to new technologies
- Demonstrated experience in a high volume shared service structure
- Demonstrated experience in multi-channel service delivery adapting to front of house and back of house responsibilities
- The ability to work effectively across omni-service channels to meet demand and the student lifecycle
