The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Office of Research and Innovation) has responsibility for research strategic planning, managing research partnerships, prioritising University investment in strategic initiatives, and responding to changes in the external environment.

Adelaide Microscopy offers a broad range of the most technologically advanced instrumentation for microscopy and microanalysis. It incorporates the Biobank, a bio-repository providing centralised, ultra-cold refrigerated housing for valuable archival research material.

Working under general direction, the Administrative Officer provides general administrative support and assistance to Adelaide Microscopy. The Administrative Officer supports the delivery of daily administrative activities, reception and operational services in a responsive and pro-active manner to staff, students, clients and visitors.

Salary: (HEO4) $59,735.00 - $65,704.00 per annum.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.

Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately.

Position requirements

To be successful you should have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including both written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people and cultures.
  • High-level organisational and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise and manage workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to give excellent attention to detail and manage high-volume tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
