This exciting role is located within the University's Service Delivery Portfolio within the Infrastructure Branch.

Service Delivery is responsible for the provision of facilities management and support services across the University’s property portfolio to support the University’s core learning, teaching and research activities. In this context the portfolio ensures the management of mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, electrical, vertical transport, water treatment, fume cupboards, mail, pest control, building, security, grounds, transport, fire and emergency management services, cleaning, caretaking, waste management, and car parking for staff and students. Service Delivery also leads, directs and oversees the management of bookable spaces, performance venue management and liquor licensing and horticultural services including the maintenance of all University parks, grounds and sports fields and North Terrace, Waite, Roseworthy and the National Wine Centre.

Under general direction Site Supervisor - Waite is responsible for supervision and coordination of supporting facility management processes including local service and maintenance activities, access control and contractor management. The position also assists the Service Delivery Team to facilitate efficient and effective centralised facility management services to ensure that service delivery requirements are carried out within budget parameters.

The Site Supervisor - Waite is a key representative for the Infrastructure Branch on the site, and works collaboratively with other University staff to ensure the provision of consistent quality services to the Campus Community as well as the provision of responsive advice and support to all customers.

The Site Supervisor role will be required to maintain an effective and professional relationship with the Manager, Security Services based at the North Terrace Campus.

Salary: The full-time the salary range for this role is $75,454 to $79,825 pa.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply

Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately.

Position requirements

To be successful you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in building or facility management
  • Demonstrated knowledge/ experience in supervising services within a facilities management environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage service delivery/works outcomes
  • Sound knowledge of building maintenance processes and service delivery
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and processes
  • Solid computer and systems knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a facilities management related field and/or other equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training
  • Current Security License (or willing to obtain) valid in South Australia
